The Public Services International (PSI) Regional Conference for African countries (AFRECON) got underway in Lome, Togo.
It kicked off on 12 November and was scheduled to run until 15 November. The conference is dealing with strategies to improve public service in modern times.
DENOSA is represented at the conference by both Deputy General Secretaries Kwena Manamela and Dimakatso Sebopa; Mpumalanga Provincial Secretary, Mzwandile Shongwe; National Student Movement Secretary, Yomelela Mnqabashe; and International Relations and Marketing Manager, Heather Sam. DENOSA 2nd Deputy President, Thandeka Msibi, serves as the Vice-President of PSI for the region.
In two of the many sessions, DENOSA's Deputy General Secretary, Kwena Manamela, was scheduled to delive a presentation on Digitalization /Organising and Growth; while Deputy General Secretary, Dimakatso Sebopa, was scheduled to present on Protecting the Whistle-blower.
