The national DENOSA recruitment campaign entered the Western Cape on 13 June with recruitment taking place in Southern Cape and West Coast Winelands regions simultaneously.
The main aim of the compaign is to organise nurses in the workplace by increasing its visibility, and service them by resolving their workplace challenges. DENOSA also held meetings with nurses at the institutions.
On 13 June, DENOSA visited Knysna Hospital and the surrounding clinics in the Southern Cape region. in the West Coast Winelands, hospitals that were visited included Vredendal Hospital, Saldanah Bay Hospital and surrounding clinics.
On Tuesday, DENOSA camped at George Hospital for more than 12 hours, servicing and consulting with nurses on many issues, and sharing an update with them on nurse-related challenges and solutions thereof.
Equally, DENOSA was in Citrusdal and Diazville Clinic. On 15 June, Mosselbay Hospital, Riversdale Hospital, Radie Kotze and Porterville Clinic were visited.
The campaign will continue in the province for two weeks.
